5th Discipleship - This past week we worked hard to get our blogs posted. Students worked to publish two blogs: A bible quiz and their armor of God. Those grades are entered in Cornerstone. If they are missing in cornerstone, that means they need to finish, or make some sort of corrections/changes.
This coming week we will be in our textbook working with the authors of the Bible and how to find things in the Bible.
This week's memory song can be viewed here - LIFT HIGH THE CROSS
5th Math - Another test this past week. Students did a nice job on it. Grades are in Cornerstone. This coming week we will start our split class format. Some students will be on a self-paced, flipped format. We will be starting multiplication and division this coming week. Math can be very frustrating and challenging if students do not know their multiplication tables. We will be practicing in class, but the more the better! Please ask your child for the xtramath sheet that should have come home on Thursday last week.
7th History - Students took their first test last week. Grades are in Cornerstone. We also started our unit on Islam. To start our unit we are going to be playing a trading game in class. Monday/Tuesday will be "arts and crafts" day. Students will be constructing their trade goods and idea markers for the game. Then Wednesday/Thursday will be trading days. We will also be starting our map work for this unit. Map test will be 9/29 (Adler) and 9/30 (Spangler)
Have a great week.
