I am so proud of the 5th graders for the diligence they showed this past week with the SATs. Great job! Almost back to a normal schedule next week.
GRANDPARENTS/SPECIAL FRIENDS DAY
Next Friday will be our annual grandparents and special friends day. It should be a great day of fun!
Hopefully you had a chance to read THIS DOCUMENT about our upcoming field trips in May.
Both groups have a test on Tuesday. I will also be checking notes. Pretests are due Monday.
Akerson pace is approaching lesson 100 already! They are ahead of where I had projected! Way to go!
This week self pace students finished the 5th grade book! Next week after the test, the self pace students will complete the post-book test to try to identify any big gaps in understanding. I will then reteach any concepts that need addressing. Once that is finished, the students will move into the 6th grade textbook
In CFP this week, we studied the story of John-Mark causing a rift between Paul and Barnabas. We talked about being diligent even when things don’t go well at first.
Next week we’ll look at Paul’s call to Macedonia.
We will also begin a unit on prayer in our One in Christ books.
Week 32 is due MONDAY, APRIL 23.
Week 33 - What is Confession part 3 is due Monday April 30.
7th GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES
Students finished work on the Maya this week. Next we are studying the Aztecs. Students have a Merge Cube assignment due next week. (Monday Adler; Thursday Spangler)
We will have one more map test this year, just an FYI. It will be a difficult one - Europe. I will get the info out next week so students can start studying early.
