Change a life at CCLS-U. - Starting next week students are encouraged to bring in any spare/loose change they can find. We will be raising money to sponsor a student at CCLS-U. So start checking the couch cushions, floors on the car and backpacks. Students will also use this as an opportunity to work on decimals. (Shhh don’t tell them)
3rd QUARTER SERVICE PROJECTS
I have “assigned” the 3rd quarter service project in Google Classroom. It is due on March 27th. Never to early to think about serving!
This week students worked through the Bible lesson on Elijah. We talked about how he is a hero of the Bible.
We also looked at the CFP lesson on the faith of the Centurion. It was a great study for both classes! Be sure to check out the email on the Character Connection centered on this lesson.
Next week’s memory is Romans 8:1 and verses 3, 4, 5 of Chief of Sinners Though I Be
Don’t forget to email me when it is all said. Don’t get too far behind.
Students this week worked on a probability lab. They should know what experimental and theoretical probability are now.
Next week we will return to normal lessons and continue moving on!
We worked really hard this week to get all students caught up. I have many past lessons to grade and get in to Educate, that should happen this weekend. Hopefully the students can stay on top of it from here.
7th GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES
We wrapped up our presentations this week. Overall I was VERY impressed with the students. There were some really good Prezis and presentations. Well done! Those should be graded and in Educate over the weekend.
We also moved forward with a quiz on Chapter 15. Students could use their ISNs if they were finished and brought to class. Those will be graded and in Educate over the weekend.
We also had a guest speaker this week. MY 6th grade teacher, Mrs. Kalbfleisch, came and spoke to Mr. Spangler’s class on Friday. I will give the same presentation to Mr. Adler’s class on Monday.
Next week we will continue to move forward with Chapter 18 - Chinese discoveries and inventions. I will be introducing the students to an app called Aurasma.
Blessings on your weekend.
