This week we look at the attributes of God and how He takes care of us through those attributes.
CFP (Character Formation Project)
Our lesson this week centered on the fall of mankind into sin and the trait of respect. We had a good discussion and I encourage the fifth graders to continue it at home. Here are some questions to talk through as a family:
- How did God’s actions after the fall, demonstrate his love and respect for us?
- Who in your life is God challenging you to respect everyday?
Remember to email me when memory is finished. Families may email as late as Monday night this week, due to the holliday.
Next week’s memory is Romans 3:28 and vs. 3 and 4 of Salvation unto us Has Come.
Students took their first test today. (Friday 9/2) I will have those graded and in over the weeknd. I am expecting them all to do well. I also collected their notebooks and took a notes grade (out of 5) for lessons 1 - 5.
Students need to continue to do xtramath 5 days a week. If a student misses a day they can make it up on the weekend. Getting this daily practice is vital to continue development toward mastery of the basic operations and those are the foundation of everything else students will do in math.
Next week Tuesday we will have our first (hopefully of many) Pirate Challenges. We’ll have some fun exploring the concept in Investigation 1 while incorporating some STEM activities into it. (Yes I said they could wear pirate accessories. No costumes please. Nothing they have to change into)
7th Social Studies
Students took their first map test this week. Those are graded and in Educate. Overall students did a nice job.
TWO BIG THINGS NEXT WEEK.
- We will have our first in class simulation. Students wont want to miss the battle that will ensue.
- QUIZ - over chapter 1 (Rome) on Thursday (ADLER) or Friday (SPANGLER) Study your notes from the ISN and the legacy notes you took during our Going Away Party and you should be fine.
Blessings on your holiday weekend.
