Interviews have begun. The 5th graders have a big interview project going right now. They are to interview someone and then turn it into an interesting newspaper style article. I have arranged for some students’ interviews. (Those that told me they needed someone to interview) Those interviews should happen ASAP. Students need to have a rough draft of their story finished by March 31st.
Service project due date is fast approaching. (3/17) Students should get their write up finished in Google Classroom if they are finished.
This week we created a Rebus (substituting pictures for words) for our long memory portion of the week. Some students (in 5th Akerson) still need to share those with me in Google Drive.
This week’s CFP lesson was all about Jesus walking on water and the courage Peter showed at first.
Next week we will only be doing CFP in discipleship. We will be examining the section of Matthew where Jesus warns us to always KEEP WATCH.
Next week’s memory (and last of 3rd quarter) is the 3rd article of the Apostles Creed and its meaning. That is all the students need to focus on at home. We will work with the song in class.
Students are working on their iPad projects, where they will end up teaching a lesson using the iPads.
Next week we will have one more test before quarter. Pretest will be coming home on Monday, with test on Wednesday. It would be good for parents to go over the pretest with the students Monday night.
After that we will get caught up on our Pirate Challenges.
XTRA MATH IS NOT REQUIRED THIS WEEK. However - any days the students choose to do it will be extra credit for 3rd quarter.
7th Grade SOCIAL STUDIES
Students finished up their Black History Month Bios and presented them to the class this week. Grades will be posted later this week. (These take a while to grade. Students should be sure they have turned in their research on Google Classroom.
I was very proud of their effort on these projects!
We will be moving on to the Maya, Inca and Aztec cultures next.
Blessings on your week.
