Thanks to everyone who brought in a shoebox!
Students this week worked on newspaper headline stories about the plagues. This tied in with our CFP lessons from last week and this week. This week we talked about the Passover and traditions families have at holiday times.
Next week we will continue this discussion of the Passover and start thinking about being thankful for all the things we have and all the things WE DON’T HAVE.
NO MEMORY NEXT WEEK - (11/21) - we will do an in-class activity on the 8th commandment.
MEMORY for the week of 11/28 is the 9th commandment and 2 verses of ON JORDAN’S BANK
Students took a test this week. Those will be graded and entered over the weekend.
SELF PACE - it is VERY important that you are watching the video lectures at night and getting your notes done.
I gave the students some extra practice “homework” for the weekend. They have an email with some sites that give extra practice for some skills that need work.
Next week we will do our next Pirate Challenge all about protractors and measuring angles. You know, sometimes pirates have to BREAKOUT of jail.
7th SOCIAL STUDIES
Students took their Islam test this week. I will have those graded and entered over the weekend.
We also started our Africa Unit this week.
Students have their map work as homework over the weekend. This is the first step to being successful on this difficult map test. Next step is to develop a study plan. Test is Dec 6th (ADLER) and 7th (SPANGLER).
EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY - If students show me a study plan for the weeks leading up to test day and turn it in by 11/27 at midnight (VIA EMAIL) I will give them some extra credit on the Map test. I will talk to them about this in class next week.
Next week we will work more in Chapter 11. This unit will be short, only chapters 11 and 12.
Blessings on your weekend.
