We are very excited for the 5th grade field trip days coming up in May. What a wonderful way to celebrate at the end of the year while still learning some great things!
We will be taking field trips on May 17, 18 and 19. We will go to Springfield Illinois, (17th) Jefferson Barracks Civil War Museum and Cemetery Tour (18th) and Busch Stadium Tour (19th).
We will need parent chaperones each day. Please start checking your calendars. After Spring Break, we will be sending more detailed information, along with a Google form which lets you sign up for which days you would like to Chaperone.
We will be chartering a bus for Springfield and taking the school bus the other two days.
Costs are still in the process of being figured out and we will relay that information to you as soon as possible. All charges, for students and chaperones, will be handled through TADS.
We look forward to spending time out of the normal routine with our students and their families. Please let us know if you have any questions.
4th Quarter math is only going to get harder. Keep working hard on taking notes, trying all the problems before asking for help. Look back the lesson it came from.
Math morning work will now consist of practicing all the lessons created by the 5th graders for their iPad projects. I will share the “how-tos” with the students on Monday.
There will be no xtramath requirement in the 4th quarter. We will use other methods to continue to improve on our times tables.
This quarter we will focus on our One in Christ books.
This coming week’s memory (for 3/27 - 4/2) is Baptism part 2 and two verses of This is the Day the Lord Hath Made
Remember to stay on top of memory, don’t get behind.
7th GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES
When we get back we will continue our study of the Maya, Inca and Aztecs.
Blessings on the rest of your break.
